Exod 20:7
Thou shalt not take the name of Jehovah thy God in vain; for Jehovah will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
Deut 10:20
Thou shalt fear Jehovah thy God; him shalt thou serve; and to him shalt thou cleave, and by his name shalt thou swear.
2Chr 6:22-23
If a man sin against his neighbor, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and he come and swear before thine altar in this house; then hear thou from heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, requiting the wicked, to bring his way upon his own head; and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.
Jer 4:2
and thou shalt swear, As Jehovah liveth, in truth, in justice, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.

Neh 13:25
And I contended with them, and cursed them, and smote certain of them, and plucked off their hair, and made them swear by God, saying, Ye shall not give your daughters unto their sons, nor take their daughters for your sons, or for yourselves.
Mat 5:34
but I say unto you, swear not at all; neither by the heaven, for it is the throne of God;

But let your speech be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: and whatsoever is more than these is of the evil one.

For men swear by the greater: and in every dispute of theirs the oath is final for confirmation.

But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by the heaven, nor by the earth, nor by any other oath: but let your yea be yea, and your nay, nay; that ye fall not under judgment.

Lev 19:12
And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, and profane the name of thy God: I am Jehovah.
Jer 23:10
For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourneth; the pastures of the wilderness are dried up. And their course is evil, and their might is not right;

Pss 24:4
He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; Who hath not lifted up his soul unto falsehood, And hath not sworn deceitfully.

Gen 28:20-22
And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on, so that I come again to my father's house in peace, and Jehovah will be my God, then this stone, which I have set up for a pillar, shall be God's house. And of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.
Pss 76:11
Vow, and pay unto Jehovah your God: Let all that are round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared. >Mat 19:11 But he said unto them, Not all men can receive this saying, but they to whom it is given. 1Cor 7:2 But, because of fornications, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.
